Ways to Set Windows 8 Defender to Scan Removable Drives

Windows 8 has various new and useful features with it. One of them is built-in security program known as Windows Defender. In Windows 7 both the  Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Defender were separate. While in windows 8 it combines real-time spyware and antivirus protection in one program.

Firstly go to Start screen and in the search option type defender and then you need to click the Windows Defender icon under the search results.

Now you need to select the Settings tab and then Advanced and finally check Scan Removable Drives. Now to save the changes click the Save Changes button.

Now when Windows Defender start their scanning operation then it will also check USB Flash drives.
